I am very excited to share my newest findings with you all! And that is a few great conceptual projects by a Berlin based designer collective Blond and Bieber, a company that has great ideas and modern approach to everyday objects. It is a collaborative work between a textile and product designers who like to put emphasis on story-telling within their creations.
One of their projects, called Algaemy, explores the power of microalgae plant in the creative context. Blond and Bieber created an exciting modern textiles printing lab, where the pigments from these plants are being produced and printed on the fabrics without needing any extra energy or materials apart from man power and
algae itself. The colours range from tones of green, blue, brown and red. It is a bit hard to explain the whole idea without showing you this video representing Algaemy project.
Another interesting project the company was working on is called Sleep with Us. It focuses on different approach to sleep, changing the idea of it being only a mean to increase the productivity and instead focusing on the emotional, poetic and creative qualities of sleep.
