COVID-19 CREATIVE OUTLET: Dance Performances by “52hz dance project”

The World is experiencing a moment of stand-still during the events of Covid-19 pandemic. Surely it is affecting each one of us in many different ways. To some this means fear and uncertainty about the future, economic difficulties, to others – inspiration and time to create. This period brings ideas into surface, raises questions and debates about our healthcare and economic systems, ecological, political and social issues.

This is a series of posts featuring creative expressions made during Covid-19 pandemic, or previous works that are particularly relevant during these times of change.


Today we are sharing two contemporary dance performances by Marta Papaccio and Alessandro Alfonzetti from 52hz dance project.

52hz dance project is a co-creative choreographic dance project, from Spain and Italy. The two teaser videos were made in artists’ homes in recent months: “We tried not stopping even if the situation can push all of us down”

“Lux fero”:
A judgment, not necessarily corresponding to the evidence, developed on the basis of the interpretation of the information in possession, even if not logically or semantically connected with each other, which therefore leads to an error of assessment or a lack of objectivity of judgement.
“Protohuman”:
The social construction of the human being, turning it into an always imperfect prototype.
