“Transitions” delves into the complexities of identity and belonging. Three distinct artistic projects explore the concept of home, both as a source of comfort and discomfort, and the experience of uprootedness in its various forms.

„Another Place“ by Kristaps Priede explores the complex relationship between identity and genius loci, through the story of Latgale: its special character and the culture of the local people.

„Home, Uncanny Home!“ by Darya Korolkova challenges our notions of home and belonging, inviting to rethink our roots and self-identity.

„In Search of Home“ – embroidered photo series by Ula Kociūtė tells an intimate and yet timeless universal story of homesickness, examining the struggles of finding a sense of home and belonging in a new place and country.

„Virsmai: tyrinėjant namų ir tapatybės kompleksiškumą“

Parodą galima aplankyti iki balandžio 20 d.

Paroda „Virsmai“ – tai kelionė per sudėtingas namų traukos ir tapatybės dimensijas. Trys skirtingi meniniai projektai, nagrinėjantys namų sąvoką tiek kaip komforto, tiek kaip diskomforto šaltinį, bei įvairias namų praradimo patirtis.

Menininkas Kristaps Priede „Another Place“ („Kita vieta“) tyrinėja sudėtingą tapatybės ir genius loci ryšį per Latgalos istoriją: jos ypatingą charakterį ir vietinių žmonių kultūrą.

Daryos Korolkovos projektas „Home, Uncanny Home!“ („Namai, nepaprasti namai!“) kvestionuoja mūsų suvokimą apie namus ir ryšį su jais bei kviečia permąstyti savo šaknis ir savąjį identitetą.

„Namų beieškant“ – siuvinėta Ulos Kociūtės nuotraukų serija pasakoja intymią, ir tuo pat metu universalią istoriją apie namų ilgesį ir sunkumus bandant atrasti namus ir dalelę tapatumo naujoje vietoje.
