We invite everyone to take part in the Free Market.

The motto of the Free Market is: Your rubbish is someone else’s treasure!!

It’s like a flea market, but without the money.

How does it work? Participants bring their own items that they don’t need and put all the items together to create a marketplace of goods for other participants to take. Every small thing is appreciated and those who don’t bring anything with them to the market can also take part, but priority will be given to those who bring items to giveaway to other people. This is an opportunity to tidy up your home and get rid of unwanted items that you are sorry to throw away. There are no restrictions on the categories of items, but it is important that they are intact and usable, and can include books, board games, clothes, shoes, music records and instruments, household appliances, tools, bicycle parts, foods, plants, etc.

During the Free Market bazaar we will have several selectors who will take care of musical moods, kindly introducing Klemologic, Xtal and Hiena Sliūkina (début).

Tables and boxes will be prepared for putting things away, but bring your own clothes hangers (there will be something to hang them on).

You are also welcome to bring snacks for yourself and to share with others.

After the event, any leftover items will go to the DĖK’ui station.

The Free Market is based on the idea of an alternative to the capitalist economy, reflecting the fact that it is possible to purchase things without money by exchanging. This idea promotes community building and contributes to reducing the amount of good things that are thrown away and turned into rubbish.
