Edgy Palates: ITCHY THROAT

„Edgy Palates“ – kompozitorių ir atlikėjų Dainoros Aleksaitės, Jūros Elenos Šedytės ir Ievos Parnarauskaitės kolektyvas. Kūrėjos tyrinėja vokalinės – elektroakustinės muzikos ir garso poezijos sankirtas.

Didžiausią dėmesį skirdamos išplėstinėms vokalo technikoms, kurėjos siekia pabrėžti unikalias žmogaus balso galimybes bei žvelgia į kiekvieną kolektyvo balsą kaip į skirtingų instrumentų studiją.
Koncerto metu Edgy Palates pristatys savo debiutinį albumą “Itchy Throat”.

Edgy Palates is a trio of Lithuanian contemporary music composers-performers: Dainora Aleksaitė, Jūra Elena Šedytė and Ieva Parnarauskaitė. Together, they explore the collision of experimental vocal music, electroacoustic music and sound poetry.

Their debut album “Itchy Throat” represents three individual composing methods, as well as the styles of the composers’ featuring two pieces from each creator. By focusing on extended vocal techniques, the composers declare their experimental, though playful, approach on composing methods. While critics consider whether their music can be called music at all, Edgy Palates push the boundaries of voice realization in the Lithuanian music scene, practically showing what can become music.
