Covid-19 Creative Outlet
Archived Type Community Period Apr 2020 – Jun 2020

In April 2020, as the world came to a standstill, Ideas Block launched an open call inviting artists, writers, musicians, and makers to share works created during — or particularly relevant to — the times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The call welcomed all mediums and forms of expression: visual art, literature, music and sound art, interdisciplinary work, recorded performances, podcasts — anything people wished to share with the world. Submissions arrived in English and Lithuanian, from artists across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and beyond.

Between April and June 2020, Ideas Block published 38 contributions under the banner Covid-19 Creative Outlet — a living document of how artists processed fear, isolation, solidarity, and reinvention during one of the most disruptive periods of contemporary life.

The project stands as a testament to the resilience of creative practice and the role of culture spaces as platforms for collective expression during crisis.
