Igor Panasenko (a.k.a. Stereoigor) – Ukrainian Radio DJ, music journalist and media-expert, will offer a talk on the current state of the music scene in Ukraine, given the state of war in the country.
About Igor:
Founder of the first audio magazine STEREOBAZA (http://stereobaza.com): radio show about the most interesting modern music has been broadcast every week since 2011 and became the most rated in Ukraine (No. 1 PromoDJ among 50k shows and podcasts).
The only music journalist and radio-DJ in Ukraine who conducted personal interviews with Depeche Mode, Kovacs, The Smashing Pumpkins, Lee “Scratch” Perry, WhoMadeWho, Tricky (ex-Massive Attack), Franz Ferdinand and Sparks, Alt-J, Bloc Party and Hot Chip and many others.
Host of dozen FM, podcast and video projects, including REC Stories, the first music video storytelling
Member of the jury and chairman of a number of Ukrainian music awards, including the annual National YUNA Awards, the first independent JagerMusicAwards etc. In 2019 and 2020 Laureate of the Ukraine Press-zvanie journalistic awards in the"culture / music" category.
As the participant of team Igor was nominated on “Stepnoy Volk” Music Awards (2010, short-list), among other short-list nominations: Rolling Stone and Openspace. It was only once, when Ukrainian music media was nominated for this international award of Artemiy Troitsky.

1. Born in MARIUPOL
Igor Panasenko was born in Mariupol.
Igor’s future parents meet each other exactly during Mariupol Drama Theater building.
This theater became sorrowfully notorious by a Russian airstrike on the 16 th March of 2022.

Spaced Sound Pieces
On November 1-3 we hosted the workshop Spaced Sound, focused on spatial multichannel sound. During this workshop, participants were introduced and deepened into these ways of making sound and music.
As a product of this workshop we will listen to one live performance and one composed piece:
> Jodeliszki, plays the piece "Again". Based on field recordings and the motive from lithuanian-polish folk song. It is about going through the everyday rush and this moment of stoppage when we finally can lose ourselves in thoughts.
> Liutauras Baltrūnas' "Para" / "Day" is a contemporary electronic music piece, whose recordings and data as collected during 2023 October, and only these recordings were used in this composition.
