We are inviting you to a short exhibition presenting works by one of our Artists in residence, R\u016bta Matulevi\u010di\u016bt\u0117, who will be showcasing her works from July 25th to the 1st of August in our gallery space.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the opening on the 25th of July, from 6 pm, you will be able to meet and talk with the artist.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is how R\u016bta presents her works:<\/span><\/p>\n

A surreal room. Images creating the atmosphere and various meanings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Paintings in front of one another surround and create an enclosed space, almost like the consciousness from which there is no way out. Images trigger different stories that appers from contiguities based on experiences and feelings.<\/span><\/p>\n

I create image poetry using painting as medium. Metaphors here are not verbal, but rather visual expression.<\/span><\/p>\n

With painting I make narratives open to contiguities that are subjective. That come from the surrealism and atmosphere. Surrealism means that main essence is inside. This is not a world critique, but rather human mind exploration in general. Not a critique, but a light game with it, small immobile theater which starts moving inside the spectators mind. The perception here is affected by subjective symbols, inner mythology and psychology as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

I portray the inspiration directly as it is, and create narratives \u2013 stories that are perceived in a different way by everyone according to what they are and what they have kept inside their mind up to this very moment.<\/span><\/p>\n
